Abigail Breslin is just coming out of the child actor stage of her career, and now the next stage begins - teenagers! She has a few years window to play them, and, considering her previous success, there will be no shortage of projects that will want to use her talents. Hopefully she'll get to play some interesting characters - Ender's Game should provide one such opportunity for example, but it's definitely going to be increasingly tougher as competition grows exponentially with age.
Abigail's character in The Call unfortunately wasn't interesting at all. She spent most of her screen time in a car trunk, panicking and trying to answer questions and follow suggestions of the 911 operator. There is not much you can do acting-wise in that situation, so let's wait and see what she does in the next couple of years.
Current grade: Let's start with 50. Abigail has enjoyed a quite spectacular child actor career with movies like Little Miss Sunshine (Oscar nomination), My Sister's Keeper and Zombieland among others, but there are no guarantees for future success in this business. Still, I can't ignore her impressive resume, and I think 50 is a nice round grade to start her out with.
